Calling all kid poets!
This month is National Poetry Month and I have VERY exciting news!
To celebrate, I’ve partnered with Melanated Gold Homeschool Magazine and several children’s book authors to bring the Kid’s Poetry Contest to you!
The winning poem will be published in an upcoming issue of Melanated Gold Homeschool Magazine, and the winner will also receive a complimentary copy of the magazine, as well as one of author Renée Berry’s children’s books, one of author Rachelle Jones Smith’s children’s books, and a copy of my own book, The Rumble Hunters!
If your child is between the ages of 6 and 12, then this contest is for them!

It explains the contest and all its rules. An adult will need to complete the entry form and email their child’s poem to this email address: hello@courtneybdunlap.com.
All entries must be received by 8pm EST on April 22nd. Judges will notify three (3) semi-finalists for each category by April 29th, and the winners will be announced live on my Instagram account http://www.instagram.com/courney_b_dunlap at 7pm EST on April 30th.
If they are unable to watch the Instagram live, no worries! The winners will be notified later that night via email and Instagram direct messenger.
