Wife. Homeschool momma of four. And a “Jackie of all trades.”
Being a busy mom with four kids in elementary, middle, and now high school means it takes all hands on deck to get things done!
Family first
Meet our Team
Team Dunlap.
I can truly say each of my children makes all that I am doing worth it! This is all because of them. When our oldest was starting school, we desired to see her grow into all God would have her to be.
We chose to homeschool our child.
The decision was not easy. My background was in Christian Counseling and I had worked many years with troubled children and their families.
When we began to homeschool, I sometimes felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself. I’d compare our homeschool life to others.
As I spoke with more and more homeschoolers, I found I wasn’t the only one. Because of this, I started to believe the homeschool arena needed more.
Their Lives
My children have naturally been curious, adventurous, and playful. I started this blog to focus on highlighting their lives as homeschoolers and my life as their mother. It’s early days celebrated their wins and shared their struggles to give readers an honest look at what our homeschool journey has entailed.
The Call
My goal has alway been to give a tiny glimpse into our homeschool life. Over time, this mission has evolved as a breath of fresh air for any homeschooler passing by. As a result, I now feel called to do more and Able to Teach Homeschool Collective was born! It exists to empower every homeschooler to teach their children.

How I Work
Work Process
01
Homeschool
I am a homeschooler. I believe I have been called to teach my children. My husband and I embarked on our homeschool journey in 2012.
02
Ministry
My husband is a pastor. We are also a part of our church’s leadership team and serve the families in our local church. This is not only a joy but also a sacrifice.
03
Life
We figure out how to balance the rest of our lives through scheduling, communicating, and planning. We manage all that God has given us. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it!
Homeschooling should be free from competition yet rich with encouragement!
