Meet Courtney

Hey y’all

Thanks for stopping through to show me some love!

I’m Courtney.

I guess you could say there’s many parts to the making of me. I’m a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a pretty tough Spades opponent. But most of all I’m a lover of Jesus Christ! I’ve trusted Him to be my perfection because my efforts alone will never measure up to God’s perfect standards.

But, there’s good news! To take care of my short comings, Christ covers them through His death on the cross for my sins! This informs how I live in every possible way. I’m grateful to know and be known by God!

I’m head over heels for my hubby, Curtis. Plus, I’m the proud homeschooling momma to three of our four beautiful kids.

When I started my homeschooling journey in 2012, I searched every homeschool related blog, Pinterest, and watched a TON of YouTube videos for tips. This was very useful at times. But sometimes I felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself. I’d compare our homeschool life to others.

My insecurities sometimes got the best of me. I’ve had so many conversations with other moms who’ve experienced the same thing. Because of this, I believe there’s a need for more down-to-earth online spaces in which moms like you and me can explore the in’s and out’s of homeschooling.

This should be free from competition yet rich with encouragement!

I’m hoping to do that through this blog! My goal is to give you a tiny peek inside our homeschool life. Of course, I can’t promise that every now and then non-homeschool-related blogs won’t slip in. For instance, did I mention I’m on the adventure of a lifetime after publishing my first children’s book? You’ll be hearing more about The Rumble Hunters from time to time since it officially launched in February 2020! My hope is for this blog to be a breath of fresh air for anyone who passes by.

One thing I CAN promise is it will be a good time for all!

With love,
